 Hopesmith Tom Cooney is releasing his new album Presque Vu this week, there are tracks up on his myspace site and it sounds really amazing. Checkout his website for show details.
I'll be at the Troubadour show in Brisbane on Thursday, should be a great show and I'll be picking up an album... See you there too!

 The lads over at Before Hollywood (a Brisbane indie music blog) recently released a triple-album of Brisbane indie music! Its called Stranded: A compilation of Brisbane Music 2007-2008. I've just got my copy and though I haven't had a chance to listen to it, the tracklisting is a great window into the current scene in Brisbane, and it even contains some Hopesmiths artists (e.g. Chris Pickering). Its a bargain at 3-CDs including 42 tracks for $20 and all profits go to Red Cross Australia and their Centre for Young People, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Well done BH!

 Thanks to Phil Smith and Mardi Lumsden
for their wonderful piece on ABC Radio (that's 612AM up in Queensland)
about The Hopesmiths Project recently. Phil's show devotes time every
week for "Saturday Tracks", its a great listen if you're able to rise
and shine early enough to give it a listen.
